Bringing Missing Heroes Back Home
Archival investigation and historical recovery research focused on America's missing from the Second World War
Why we exist
Operation: Homecoming began with the search for one missing serviceman: PFC Elmer D. Yochum, That search soon revealed a far larger reality-- tens of thousands of American servicemen from the Second World War remain missing or unidentified to this day.
Founded on the belief that these men deserve more than anonymity or forgotten records, Operation: Homecoming works to preserve their stories, pursue historical truth, and ensure their sacrifice is remembered with dignity.

Following the Evidence
Through archival research, battlefield analysis, and historical reconstruction, Operation: Homecoming works to investigate unresolved cases involving missing American servicemen from the Second World War
For Families Still Waiting
Behind every unresolved case is a family left searching for answers. Operation: Homecoming believes that even when certainty is impossible, families deserve honesty, historical context, and the dignity of knowing their loved ones have not been forgotten

Preserving Their Stories
Every unresolved case represents a human story that deserves to be remembered. Through research, storytelling, and historical preservation, Operation: Homecoming works to ensure that the sacrifice of America's missing servicemen is never forgotten.
